Your Privacy
At Mayfield Talking Therapy, we take your privacy and confidentiality seriously.
We only collect and use personal information that is necessary to provide psychotherapy and counselling services, manage appointments and payments, maintain appropriate clinical records, and meet our professional, legal and ethical responsibilities. The therapists at Mayfield Talking Therapy are independent practitioners and are each responsible for the information relating to their own clients.
Information shared during therapy is treated as confidential and is stored securely. We will not normally share identifiable information with anyone else without your knowledge or agreement, except in limited circumstances where there is a serious safeguarding concern or where disclosure is required by law.
As psychotherapy involves information about your emotional and psychological wellbeing, some of the information we hold is classed as special category personal data and is given additional protection under UK data protection law.
Mayfield Talking Therapy processes personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
You have rights regarding the information we hold about you, including the right to ask to see it and to request that inaccurate information is corrected.
A full copy of our Privacy Notice, including information about what we collect, how long we retain records, our lawful basis for processing information and your data protection rights, is available on request.
If you have any questions about how we use or protect your information, please contact us at enquiries@mayfieldtherapy.uk
